First opening its doors back in 1936 – to the present day. It has gone through a World War, the 1953 Floods, World Recessions, Brexit, a Pandemic, and generations of local Canvey families. Over the decades, it has entertained thousands of day trippers visiting Canvey Island seafront.

Bar Monico is a traditional pub, with a modern outlook from a solid mahogany bar with the latest technology in sound and vision.
We are well worth a visit, for picture décor, real leather chesterfield sofas to a proper built hardwood bar. Every customer receives a very warm welcome, and takes time to sit and relax, taking in the great atmosphere.
